Scholarship Program
Make A Splash Foundation offers several programs to support our mission. Our scholarship program provides financial assistance to families who cannot afford swim lessons for their children. We work with local swim schools to provide high-quality, survival swim lessons to children of all ages and skill levels.
At the Make A Splash Foundation, our primary goal is to promote childhood drowning awareness and water safety. To achieve this, we strongly encourage survival swim lessons for children. We recognize that the cost of swim lessons can be a financial burden for some families, and that's why we offer scholarships to those who truly cannot afford them. Our partner, Aqua Journeys Swim School, generously reduces their tuition for scholarship recipients, so we ask that you carefully assess your budget before applying for a scholarship. Please consider if there are any expenses or memberships you can forgo for 6 weeks to cover the cost of these lessons. If you still cannot afford the lessons, we encourage you to complete the application below and provide the required documentation to apply for a scholarship. Please note that scholarships are limited to families in genuine financial need to ensure fairness to our partner and recipients.

A copy of the following documents must be provided to process the application. (For security measures please black out your SSN on all documents) ** APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE SUBMITTED **
• Driver’s License
• Two current pay stubs (an additional two from your spouse/partner if applicable)
• Your most recent tax return (e.g. complete 1040 form, federal tax return, not your W2 form).
IF APPLICABLE PLEASE INCLUDE:
• A “Did Not File” taxes form - PROOF REQUIRED
• Social Security benefits statement Disability benefit statement
• Unemployment benefit statement
• Child Support statement
**PLEASE NOTE: We want to make sure that scholarships go to families who truly cannot afford swim lessons for their children. To ensure fairness and transparency, we carefully review every application and reserve the right to ask for more information or reject incomplete or inaccurate submissions. When filling out the application, please provide the total gross household income, including income from a significant other. If you are cohabiting with a significant other but not married, please include their income in the Spouse/Partner field. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to provide swim lesson scholarships to families in need.
